The Fallston Cougars battled past John Carroll, 29–26, extending their winning streak to four straight games.The Cougars were led by Phaedra Michaelides, who delivered a dominant performance with 17 points and 15 rebounds. Brooke Bolesta controlled the glass, pulling down 20 rebounds while adding 5 points.Marisa Dixon and Andrea Dorezas each contributed 3 points, helping seal another hard-fought victory in the Cougar Den.

The Fallston Cougars came up just short on a heartbreaking buzzer-beater, falling to Springdale Prep by a final score of 45–42.Fallston was led by an incredible performance from Brooke Bolesta, who recorded the first triple-double of her career with 16 points, 20 rebounds, and 10 blocks, dominating on both ends of the floor.Additionally, Marisa Dixon and Phaedra Michaelides each chipped in 9 points.

Recipient: Sophia (Sophie) Liew Baltimore, MD — CSZ Network is proud to announce Sophia (Sophie) Liew, a junior at The Bryn Mawr School in Baltimore, as the recipient of the 2025 Scholar-Athlete Leader Award for the State of Maryland. Sophie is a starting player on Bryn Mawr’s varsity field hockey team, a dominant program that won consecutive IAAM Championships in 2024 & 2025 under the guidance of IAAM 2025 Coach of the Year, Carey Fetting-Smith. The Scholar-Athlete Leader Award recognizes an outstanding high school student-athlete who demonstrates exceptional promise in building stronger communities while excelling both in athletics and in the classroom. Sophie was selected for her academic excellence, sustained athletic performance, and deeply rooted commitment to mentorship, community engagement, and expanding access to technology education, particularly artificial intelligence for girls. Sophie, 17, has played varsity field hockey since her freshman year and is widely recognized for her leadership both on and off the field. Her commitment to service and education began in eighth grade, when she designed and delivered an introductory computer science curriculum for fourth- and fifth-grade students as her capstone project through Bridges at Bryn Mawr, a year-round partnership program supporting Baltimore City youth through academic enrichment and long-term success strategies. Sophie formally presented her curriculum to peers, faculty, and parents, marking the beginning of her ongoing dedication to mentorship. She continued this work in ninth grade by volunteering at youth field hockey clinics and returned to Bridges in tenth grade to mentor younger students, demonstrating a sustained pattern of leadership across both academic and athletic communities. In addition to her academic achievements, Sophie serves as Co-Director of Bryn Mawr’s Writing Center, where she mentors fellow students and supports academic excellence schoolwide. Beyond school, Sophie is applying her programming and AI engineering skills to a mission rooted in her family’s history. She is currently developing an AI-powered interactive chat tool for KoreanAmericanStory.org, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving Korean American immigrant histories. The tool enables users to explore personal narratives dynamically and discover how individual histories connect to the present. This same belief—that technology should help communities preserve, understand, and share what matters—also informs SheBuilds AI, an initiative Sophie is developing to provide hands-on AI education to middle and high school girls in Baltimore. Westminster’s strong defense held the Blazers to just one point in the first half, setting the tone for the game. The Lady Owls JV found their rhythm on offense and quickly built a commanding lead. With the impressive victory, Westminster improves to 3–0 on the season. The Lady Owls will look to keep the momentum going on Tuesday when they travel to face the Knights. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.

Westminster couldn’t find the offensive rhythm they needed against a strong NDP team. The Blazers brought their A-game on the road, showing balance on both offense and defense. The Owls had trouble finding the basket for much of the night, missing several shots they’ll wish they could have back. Westminster ultimately fell short to NDP, dropping their record to 1–2 on the season. The Lady Owls will look to bounce back on Tuesday when they hit the road to take on the Knights. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m.

 MFV of MFVAllSportsNetwork travels out to Annapolis Area Christian School (AACS) in Severn, Maryland for their senior night varsity volleyball game between St. Paul’s School for Girls & AACS Eagles, AACS has only one senior, Sydney Anderson, and her favorite color is orange. So we decorate ourselves with orange in honor of Sydney. The stage had been set for a beautiful night of varsity volleyball and recognition. SPSG vs AACS SET RECAP 
 SET 1: GATORS - 17 EAGLES - 25

 With the St. Paul’s Gators serving first, this set was a back-and-forth, between the two teams. A lot of good sets and then kills. The pin hitters on both squads were very elite. They knew where to direct the hit to cause the other to be inoperable to save. It really wasn’t until the high teen scores, AACS was able to pull away with a sizable lead. 

 SET 2: GATORS - 25 EAGLES - 22 Eagles served first in this round. Again it was several back-and-forth, as each team matched one another’s energy (ex. If the Eagles won points with a kill, the Gators would respond and vice-versa). The pin hitters for the Gators took advantage of hitting in certain places where it made it difficult for the Eagles to recover. It was in the beginning twenties where St. Paul’s stretched their lead to win the set. SET 3: GATORS - 15 EAGLES - 25 & SET 4: GATORS - 14 EAGLES - 25

 These two I will cover together as they were pretty much similar. Both started with a d beginning, however AACS was able to maintain a good lead on their opponent each set. It wasn’t St. Paul’s stepped off the gas. I actually commented to my son it was the first time I had seen the Eagles play a team of such high caliber. The AACS Eagles were able to make good plays at the right time and get the victory in the last two sets. HONORING THEIR SENIOR PLAYER

 The highlight of the night was about honoring the Eagles only senior player, Sydney Anderson. It started with those encouraged by her or who had witnessed her legacy handing her a flower. Then her coach began to talk about her impact. I think any player would want their coach to say the things said about Sydney. Made MillerFlow want to cry. To sum it up, Anderson had a positivity about her that was contagious. It inspired her teammates to want to mimic her character. She was going to missed but definitely remembered. Proud to hear about her legacy as one both inspirational and Godly. SHINE ON SYDNEY!!!!


 TO THE GATORS, while the outcome is not what was wanted, you guys are a great team. You have awesome intensity. Your communication is champion. Your ability to save and get the ball back over to the opponent was amazing. KEEP STRIVING FOR GREATNESS, you ladies are on the right path. Be encouraged.


 TO THE EAGLES, congratulations on another victory. I am speechless at times because you are such a young team yet play like you’ve known each other for years. CONTINUE developing and applying the values your coaches and Sydney have instilled in you. Go Eagles!!!!!
