Yesterday afternoon, Mardela did the impossible in beating out Catoctin in the 1A Softball State Finals. Mardela was down 3-0 in the 4th inning, but the girls didn’t give up and put up a massive performance to complete the comeback. They would secure their win in the last play of the 7th inning, making the final run to finish off the game. Both teams played their hearts out yesterday. Shoutout to Taylor Smith, Ava Twilley, and Julia Wisk for putting up big performances for their teams yesterday. Congratulations to Mardela on their massive win! We shall see if they can do it again next season!

The JV Lady Lions came out strong with a total of 13 runs scored on 16 hits. Serenity Shoemaker proivded 4 hits and 3 runs, while Riley Smallwood, Lucy Williams and Kamryn Shew each had 3 hits with 2 runs. Joey Qualls provided 2 hits with 2 runs.
